A Little About the Client

Our clients are a hardworking couple who have lived in their home for many years. As their family grew, so did their need for a kitchen that could support their lifestyle. They wanted a space that wasn’t just reflective of their personality and long-term needs, they wanted a functional and Kosher kitchen.

Client Pain Points

Over time, the kitchen no longer met the couple’s needs. Some of the key challenges included:

  • Appliance Limitations: The existing layout couldn’t accommodate a larger refrigerator, which they needed for their family.
  • Inadequate Storage: There wasn’t enough room for larger items, making organization difficult.
  • Kosher Requirements: The kitchen needed to support kosher cooking practices, with thoughtful storage solutions for separation.
  • Outdated Cooking Setup: They wanted to switch from gas to an electric range and cooktop, but the old layout didn’t allow for a seamless transition.

Client’s Objectives

The renovation focused on creating a kitchen that would be both beautiful and functional. Their goals included:

  • Designing a kitchen that could accommodate a larger refrigerator.
  • Adding ample and flexible storage for large and small items.
  • Creating a space that supports kosher cooking with clear separation in storage and prep zones.
  • Updating to an electric cooking system with modern fixtures and finishes.
  • Introducing a cohesive blue design theme to reflect their taste.

How We Helped Them Reach Their Objectives

We took a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to address every challenge while bringing their vision to life:

  • Custom Island Cabinet: Built with doors on both sides, allowing two people to access storage simultaneously without disrupting each other’s workflow.
  • Expanded Appliance Space: Redesigned cabinetry to fit a larger refrigerator.
  • Kosher-Friendly Storage: Planned intentional cabinet zones and divided storage solutions to keep items separated and organized.
  • Modern Cooking Upgrade: Transitioned from gas to an electric range and cooktop for a cleaner, updated system.
  • Blue-Themed Design: Incorporated a rich blue palette into cabinetry and backsplash for a bold yet elegant aesthetic.
  • Finishing Touches: Installed durable LVP flooring, updated sink and faucet fixtures, and introduced bright, reflective surfaces for a balanced mix of functionality and beauty.
